John Blunt is the world's most widely recognized Freddie Mercury tribute artist.

John is one of the few tribute performers to truly go global, headlining concerts and festivals in London, Glasgow, India, New Zealand, Thailand, Macau, Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia, several tours to Singapore and Norway, and all around Australia. John's has performed at the Annual Queen Convention in the UK as a Special Guest in 2017 & 2018 with Jamie Moses ( Guitarist with Brian May Band & Queen + Paul Rodgers ) and in 2018 was ask to join the cast of " Legends in Concert" America's longest running Las Vegas Production where he lived and performed in the USA for 6 weeks.

TV Fame

After 10 years of touring with The Killer Queen Experience, John was chosen to play Freddie Mercury in the 2016 UK Docu-Drama "The Freddie Mercury Story - Who Wants to Live Forever", which aired across Europe and America to glowing reviews. His first TV break came a few years before when John performed as Freddie on the TV show Qui Sera Le Meilleur Sosie in France, in front of 7 million people.

John has once again been cast as Freddie Mercury in an upcoming Australian movie called Seriously Red (2021), starring Rose Byrne.

Born in Queensland, John's incredible vocal range was honed as a young singer at Warner Brothers Movie World on the Gold Coast where he voiced dozens of movie characters. He began his tribute career with an Elvis show, but it soon became The "King and Queen" Show after he stunned friends at a fancy dress party as Freddy Mercury. Soon after that night he was wowing crowds as the Queen front-man.

John takes the legacy of Queen and Freddie Mercury seriously. His daughter is named Reyna Taylor May  in tribute (meaning Queen in Spanish), and his portrayals on stage and screen have linked him permanently to Freddie's legacy (and earned him a mention on Freddie's Wikipedia page).
